We are a welcoming community of faith and love that serves one another and seeks to draw others to God through our ministries.
Ministries
St. Thomas is a vibrant church with opportunities for fellowship, formation, missions and music.
Fellowship
As St. Thomas, we love to spend time together in Christian fellowship through monthly Wednesday Night Suppers during the academic year, Hospitality time on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM and with special events throughout the year. Some of those events include Holy Crab, CAST, Tour of Homes.
We also have a Men's Fellowship Group and the St. Martha's Guild (our women's group).
Formation
Our EYC (youth group grades 6-12th) meets on Sunday evening from 4-5:30PM throughout the academic year. If you are interested in attending EYC, contact Matt Rice.
Children's Chapel is offered to ages Kindergarten through 5th grade as they are led by the cross out of the church and into the chapel during our 10:00 a.m. service and are given the opportunity to learn and engage with one another.
We offer weekly nursery care for kids 4 and under during our 10:00 a.m. service.
Vacation Bible School is offered each summer for rising pre-K-5th graders.
Adults who have attended the Episcopal Church's Cursillo meet monthly in reunion groups.
Missions
Missions are alive and well at St. Thomas. We partner with various agencies throughout the year to provide canned food, school supplies, toys for children at Christmas, etc.
We also have several other missional groups:
The St. Thomas Thrift Store is located on 1126 East Montgomery Crossroads. Business hours are 10:00AM-2:00PM Monday through Friday. The Thrift Store is a non-profit organization run completely by volunteers who collect and sell donations of housewares, clothing, furniture, collectibles, etc. Proceeds from the store provide grants up to $50,000 to local organizations in the community.
The Unseen Guest Ministry gathers monthly to prepare meals for people in the Savannah area who live with HIV/AIDS.
Every month our Outreach Committee chooses an underserved organization in the community as a parish-wide focus to donate our time and resources to. If you're interested in joining the outreach committee contact Rev. Colette.
