      Our Christian Education Committee is visioning with a bold excitement about upcoming education and formation opportunities!

Sunday School resumes 9 a.m. Sept. 13, 2009

followed by a Parish Picnic at Villa Marie Conference Center on Isle of Hope following the 10 a.m. service.

 

 

 

Education for Ministry

is a four year educational program offered at St. Thomas on Wednesday evenings.  The curriculum is written by members of the School of Theology at The University of the South in Sewanee, TN.  Registration for this program is offered one year at a time. Cost for enrollment and materials is $350 per year.

Pastoral Care for Laity, A ten-week course beginning Monday, October 12th, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Details

 

 

 

Adult Forum, 9 a.m. Sundays, led by Fr. Richard Nelson - What Episcopalians Believe: A Journey Through The Catechism. Meets in the parish hall.

 

 

Adult Class, 9 a.m. Sundays thru Nov. 1, led by Mr. Paul Meyer- The Miracles of Jesus. Meets in the library

 

 

Book Study, beginning Wednesday, Sept 16, 2009 6:30 p.m. - The Gift of Years: Growing Older Gracefully, by Sr. Joan Chittister, OSB

 

 

Adult Confirmation Classes,  beginning Sept 20, 2009 11:30 a.m. Led by Fr. Richard, this class is for 16 years and older who are preparing for Confirmation or Reception, people wanting to find out more about the Church, and established members who want a refresher.  Join us in the library.

JAM’ ERS (Jesus and Me Youth Group open to 3rd-6th graders)

 

For Children

 

Children’s Chapel for ages 4,5,6,7 & 8 years: after the Gospel reading children will gather at the chancel steps (by the choir). After a brief word from Fr. Richard, they will follow their C.C. Leader to their classroom for learning fun!  The children will return to the church during the exchange of the Peace.

 

(Adults, please prayerfully consider whether you might enjoy leading our children in this wonderful experience one Sunday each month.) 

 

 Our Nursery welcomes babies and toddlers each Sunday morning during the 9am education hour and the 8 & 10am Services!!!
